And now, a brief farewell, dear friends. I began these conversations three years ago with women surfers to find out if surfing had transformed them as profoundly as it had me. Check! It has been such a gift to interview dozens of ROCKING women, and be moved, and lifted, by their stories. As I reflect back over the conversations, I see one clear throughline: surfing is more alchemy than sport, or even therapy - it helps women tap into a sacred power source within ourselves. As a hypnotherapist, I am finding a similar alchemy. And so in this parting episode, I leave you with a Surf Hypnosis Meditation. It starts at 5:19 if you want to bookmark it , but please DON'T LISTEN TO THAT PART WHILE DRIVING! Find a comfortable position, tune out the world, and let your own powerful mind transform you into the surfer you truly want to be.

Aloha, everyone, and welcome to the Dropping Into Power podcast. This will actually be our our final episode. As much as I have the longest list of women that I still want to interview about how surfing has transformed our lives and had promised to actually interview some of these incredible women. As much as I would love to continue with this passion project, I've had to accept that it's time to move in another direction. So I have so enjoyed this incredible experience and I'm so grateful to all of you who have listened. But one thing I have been promising probably since I began my hypnosis training, which was a year and a half ago now, is to leave a surf hypnosis recording. And originally I had planned on teaching the self hypnosis, but I've opted instead to leave you with just an easy surfing self hypnosis. And this is something you can listen to. Please do not listen to this while you are driving. So if you are driving, turn it off as soon as I'm done with this part and save it for when you get home. It's 22 minutes. Or you can listen to it in your car and it will take you into a relaxation and point you into some key places that we know we're all working on in surfing and allow you a little bit of space to do your own imagining of the things that you need to work on. And in fact, each time you listen to it, you can imagine, even before it starts, what you might want to be envisioning. But it just takes you into a place where you can connect with your own powerful subconscious mind and visualize exactly the surfer that you want to be. There's really interesting research on the state of hypnosis and you will enter a light trance yourself. Anybody could do this on their own. When you work therapeutically with somebody, with a hypnotherapist, it's possible often to get a little bit deeper, but depth is not always what's needed.

So this gives you access to your own powerful mind. And the research shows that what the hypnotic state does is allows you to basically try on being a different person.

Or being your best self. This is why it's so effective for sports.

So you can trust that as your mind relaxes and that kind of critical barrier releases that you are in fact experiencing. Being a surfer, you exactly, totally want to be and just enjoy it and enjoy the journey. So I'm going to close with my incredible gratitude for all the women who have shown up and given their time to share their stories. And this podcast may take another turn where it won't be focused entirely on surfing, but will be focused generally on women's health and being our most powerful, healthy, realized selves. Dropping In To Power is also the name of my hypnotherapy company and my LLC. So going forward, I may be exploring that either on YouTube or also in the podcast format, but I will give a heads up about that. So if anybody is only wanting to listen to the surfing piece, I totally understand it. So once again, thank you so much.
